Terms & Privacy

Rathvan is offered free while it is early. This page states what that means, what data exists, where it goes, and what is never sent to a model. It is written to be checked against the software, not to be long.

Read this first. These terms are drafted by the people who built the software and have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They describe our actual intent and our actual system behaviour. If you are adopting Rathvan somewhere that needs a reviewed agreement — a procurement process, a DPA, a regulated environment — talk to us and we will do that properly rather than point you at this page.

Terms of the free tier

What you get

Free use of the hosted console and, where offered, a hosted builder, to design and generate your own software products. No payment, no card, no seat count.

What you own

Everything Rathvan generates for you is yours — the repositories, migrations, configuration and documentation it writes, perpetually and irrevocably, under any terms you choose, including commercial ones. This survives any end to your use of Rathvan and any end of Rathvan itself. We claim nothing over what you build or what it earns. The platform itself remains ours; the full statement is in the licence.

What free honestly means

No service level. The hosted service scales to zero, so the first request after an idle period is slow. It may be unavailable, and we owe you no uptime.
It may change or stop. Features can change and the free tier can end. We will give notice where we reasonably can. Because the tool is self-hostable and your output is yours, you are never locked in — that is the point of the design, not a consolation.
Keep your own copies. Generated repositories live wherever you put them. Anything stored on our hosted service should be treated as replaceable.
No warranty. The software is provided as is. Review what it generates before you run it anywhere that matters — the platform is built to make that review possible, and it is still your review.

What we ask of you

Do not use it to build things that are illegal, or to attack, overload or probe the service or other users.
Do not resell, rehost or offer Rathvan itself as a service to third parties.
Keep your credentials to yourself. A credential you share is a credential you have given away, and every action it takes is recorded as yours.
AI generation on the hosted service runs on YOUR model key. Add one in the console (Anthropic, Gemini or OpenAI) and generation runs on your account, under your agreement with that vendor. Everything else — the intake, the capability map, the plan, and the scaffolder that writes your repository — works without a key and is not metered.

Ending it

You can stop at any time; ask us and we will delete your account data. We may suspend an account that breaks the rules above. Neither ends your ownership of what you generated.

Privacy — what actually exists

This is a description of the running system, not a category list. Where the software refuses to do something, it refuses in code, and the check is in the repository.

What is never sent to a model

The platform enforces this at the one place every model call passes through, and refuses rather than redacts: government identifiers, salary, tax amounts, bank details, phone numbers, and raw user notes. If you paste such material into a prompt, the call is refused rather than quietly cleaned.

Who else sees anything

Model vendors — the prompt and grounding for calls you trigger. If you supply your own key, that traffic is on your account under your agreement with them, not ours.
Google Cloud — our hosting and database, in the Mumbai region.
GitHub — only when you connect a repository, and only for the repositories you selected.
Nobody else. We do not sell data, we run no advertising, and we do not use your prompts or your generated code to train anything.

Your choices

Ask for a copy or a deletion of your data by writing to the address below. We will act on it; we are a small company and we would rather do this by email than by form.
Disconnect a repository at any time from your console, or revoke it from GitHub's own settings — GitHub is the authority, and removing it there removes our access.
Remove your model key from the console; it is deleted, not deactivated.
Self-host and share nothing. Run the builder on your own machine or infrastructure and no data reaches us at all. This is a first-class path, not a fallback.

Retention, and honesty about breach

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you ask. Aggregated counters carry no identity and are kept as operational history. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you what happened, what was affected, and when — before we have a tidy story, because a delayed disclosure is worse than an embarrassing one.

Children and location

Rathvan is a professional tool and is not directed at anyone under 18. It is operated from India by QuantAIseed Technology Pvt Ltd. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data rights — the EU, the UK, India's DPDP Act — write to us and we will honour those rights rather than argue about applicability.
